No. They pay from an app they already have, like Cash App, Venmo, PayPal, Coinbase or Robinhood. Every one of those apps holds a dollar stablecoin (USDC or PYUSD) and can send it in a few taps. The payment page shows them exactly where to tap for the app they picked.

USDC, a dollar-backed stablecoin, credited to your Swtch Pay account the moment the shopper's transfer confirms and delivered to the wallet you connect. Keep it in USDC or convert it to dollars wherever you already hold USDC.

The order is marked paid when the transfer confirms on the network, typically under a minute. Your USDC is paid out once a day, covering everything confirmed from 3 PM to 3 PM Central.

No. Stablecoin transfers are final and cannot be reversed by a card network or a bank. There is nothing for a shopper to dispute through a third party, so there are no chargeback fees, no dispute paperwork and no reserve held against them.

Refunds are always your call. Start a full or partial refund from the payment in your portal, from the order in WooCommerce, or through the API. Apps like Cash App and Venmo pay from shared addresses, so instead of sending money back to where it came from, we email the shopper a secure link to give their own receive address. We then send the refund in the coin and network they paid with, out of your Swtch Pay balance. For USDC payments you can send it from your own wallet instead. Each refund that is sent carries a small per-refund fee, whoever sends it, and the transaction fee on the original payment is not returned. Details are in the refund policy.

The payment page shows the exact amount and the network to use, and watches the network live. If a shopper sends less than the total, the order is not marked paid and the shortfall is shown so they can send the difference. If they send more, the extra can be returned as a partial refund. Funds sent on the wrong network or to the wrong asset cannot always be recovered. If they can, recovery is handled case by case and may carry a network cost. The full policy is here.

Yes. Install the plugin, paste your API key, and Swtch Pay appears as a payment method at checkout. The order moves to Processing on its own when the shopper's transfer confirms. Any other platform can use the hosted checkout link or the API.

Flat pricing, paid by you: fees come out of each completed payment, so shoppers pay exactly your price with nothing added at checkout. There is no fee per payment option. Your pricing is set out in your merchant agreement before you go live. See pricing.

During onboarding you give us the wallet address that receives your USDC. We verify it with a small test deposit before anything is sent to it. From then on, confirmed payments accrue to your account and are paid out to that wallet once a day, covering 3 PM to 3 PM Central, less a flat payout fee. Days under $10 roll into the next payout. Any wallet that holds USDC works, including Coinbase.

Cash App, Venmo, PayPal, Coinbase, Robinhood and any crypto wallet (MetaMask, Phantom, Exodus, Rainbow, WalletConnect and others), with Bitcoin coming soon. You choose which options to enable, and only those are shown to your shoppers.

No. Swtch Pay is a payment technology provider, a service of Verdant Payments. We are not a bank, we do not hold deposits, and we do not custody shopper funds. Shoppers send from their own apps directly to a one-time payment address, and your USDC goes to a wallet you control.
